It aims to protect, promote and enhance Britain's towns and countryside to make them better places in which to live, work and play and to ensure the countryside is protected for now and future generations.|
|Lancaster Canal Trust||The association for the Restoration of the Lancaster Canal that also aims to increase awareness and promote interest amongst all users of the canal.|
|Mountain Safety||A site full of information and advice that will help you enjoy the British hills, fells and mountains safely.|
|National Trust||A UK conservation charity, protecting historic places and green spaces, and opening them up for ever, for everyone.|
|Natural England||A government body responsible for protecting and improving England's natural environment and encouraging people to enjoy and get involved in their surroundings. It includes a downloadable version of the Countryside Code.|
